Bill was raised in beautiful Sonoma County, California. His first experience in trying to capture the beauty of the local landscapes was through photography. Landscapes were his number one inspiration in his artistic interests. He started experimenting in painting without any formal training after his retirement in 2004. Bill started with acrylics and then switched to oil and pastels.Not being formally trained, whether it is a vineyard, old building or coastline he finds it very relaxing and rewarding. Bill likes using the skills he has developed

through group training and experimenting with different mediums. Bill enjoys the satisfaction of painting and sharing with others.
